Synopsis:
In feudal Japan, a demon attacks a village. The village priestess Kikyo seals the demon to a tree and loses her life. In the present day, Kagome's fifteenth birthday arrives. Her brother says a sound is coming from the well, and then he is pulled inside. When Kagome climbs out of the well, she is somewhere else entirely - and she sees someone pinned to a tree.
